Stainless Steel Boat Railing Repair | Washington Island, WI
When a tree fell across the port and starboard railings of this boat, the damage was significant, replacing the entire railing system wasn't the only option. Through craftsmanship and stainless steel repair, we were able to restore the railings to their original appearance and functionality.
This project involved repairing 1-inch stainless steel boat railings using TIG welding, the preferred process for stainless steel because of its clean, precise welds and exceptional strength. Damaged areas were carefully plugged and repaired to maintain the original profile of the railings while preserving their structural integrity.
Once the repairs were complete, each section was meticulously buffed and bright polished to blend seamlessly with the surrounding material. The finished railings closely match the original factory appearance, leaving no obvious signs of the damage.
Whether your boat has been damaged by severe weather, an accident, or years of wear, stainless steel railing repair can often restore your existing components to a factory-quality finish. This project is a great example of how metal fabrication and finishing can bring damaged marine components back to life.
